                  My name is Ashok,

                  And my forefathers named after deities

                  You call me hindu like yourselves

                   But I believe you not. as the word

                   Did not exist eons ago, when the land of  Bharata

                   Reverberated with Vedic hymns chanted by sages

                   Nor do I find it mentioned

                   In vedas,puranas, upanishadas and shruties

                  Then why, please tell me why

                   We accept identity given by outsiders

                   And forget who really we are

                   Please tell me why you perpetuate what is untrue.
